That’s our mission, at it’s simplest. We can’t do those things ourselves, but we can raise funds to support the organisations that can. That means charities such as Weston Park Cancer Hospital, which not only provide treatment for cancer patients (and support for them and their families) but conduct clinical research which offers hope for the future in the battle against this cruel disease.
We’ve been raising funds for Weston Park since we started, and our next fundraising event will be the Endcliffe Park 10k (on 6 October) at which all the funds we raise, on and off line, will go to support their work. We’re dedicating this year’s run to Jo Morgan. Jo and her husband Wyn ran the 101010 a couple of years back, but Jo was diagnosed with terminal cancer earlier this year and died at St Luke’s Hospice on 12 August. Wyn is a member of our team for this year’s 101010 as he wants to support Weston Park, where Jo had her treatment. We’ll be publicising our fundraising page for the event very soon.
The family is also raising funds for St Luke’s, who looked after Jo, and the family, in the last stages of her life. If you’d like to support this vital work, you can donate on Jo’s tribute page, or here: https://www.stlukeshospice.org.uk/support/donate.
All of us at Inspiration for Life send their love and deepest sympathies to Wyn and the family.
