It’s been a while, for reasons too obvious to explain, but Inspiration for Life is back, with a brand new event, as part of the University’s Festival of the Mind.
It’s on 15 September, starting at 7.30pm, and as the title would suggest, the talks are all about aspects of sex, bodies, and fertility, with a brilliant line-up of speakers:
Professor Vanessa Toulmin – Host
Chella Quint – Do Mermaids Have Periods? Sensible answers to silly questions about menstruation
Dr Sharron Hinchliff – Sex and ageing, a taboo topic? Not tonight
Dr Liz Williams – Food and fertility: fact and fiction.
Dr Jennifer Burr – Orgasms
Hallam Roffey – Depraves and Corrupts?: A Politics of Pornography in England
Prof Allan Pacey – Sperm you can bank on
You can get a ticket in advance via Eventbrite (link below) or on the door – all proceeds will support local cancer charities. Come along, invite your friends!
